In the heart of Mathare Valley, a densely populated informal settlement in Nairobi, the Mwelu Foundation exemplifies the intersection of creativity and advocacy as a catalyst for social change. This community-based organization empowers young individuals through comprehensive training in photography, film, and essential life skills.

In parallel to nurturing creative expression, the foundation addresses pressing social issues, particularly those related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
